Something “About” me.
This blog is “About” explaining the thoughts that roam through my mind everyday. Taking the time to think and reflect which is something that until a few years ago I did not much ponder. This extra time of thought and reflection created a monster of which tendencies were latent upon further introspection. I attended some college writing courses that fed the obsession enough to bring it to the fore. I have pondered many times over the years the possibility of writing a book. I even attempted to concentrate on a effort but the end result was I was not ready. The writing for this blog will be the thoughts of the retired construction worker who is married and has children.
The advantage of the blog is the fact that concentration levels are not needed and daily production of word counts is not necessary. I can post daily or not. That goes with the subject of control. Which sometimes I lose sight of. So this blog is “About” control.
I hope, through my writings, to somehow impart the feelings “About” funny incidents, mundane household antics, or school activities of a parent of the 21st century. While these items will sooth my soul it does not feed the monster of which I have spoken of earlier. So this blog is “About” life.
The monster inside me is my ego. I think this kind of forum is the perfect venue with which to feed its snarling head. Written words conveying and releasing feelings in one felt swoop. Content be damned!! I “Control” its content. It will be about “Life”and how it happens according to a retired construction worker who has a wife and child living at home in order to feed the “Monster”which is my ego that “Needs to be fed a constant source of “READ ME!!”
Hopefully, I will write on my blog. Then someone will read it. Whether today, tomorrow, or eventually. Take your pick and decide for yourself. I will add more “About” when I start to ad pictures to the site.
The site is up and running thanks in no small part to the efforts of my wife, Ellen and her daughter, Laura Cochran. Well let’s be honest and call it the way really is…The only reason that I have a blog is because of the efforts of these two people alone! It would be incorrect to say. “in no small part” because they were the only part. Enough said. Except..Thanks a lot!
At some point after the blog idea, inception, and implementation I have become some what of a reluctant writer, A little reticent to tickle the keys. So I thought I would give a little of what I and the blog seem to want to do in this new venue. So here was something “About” me.
